This painting reminds me of another time when industry employed the masses. People worked hard and together and took great pride in the American dream. The factory now sits empty but is a tribute to all the individuals that spent much of their lives within these walls. The light and shadows on the buildings is both warm and austere, that late daytime glow before dusk starts to fall.
