Santa Fe is a magical place for me. Not only for its beauty, people, art and Native American history, it is the place that led me back to painting and shaped the type of work that I do today.
I have some very special friends, that after years of living in Santa Fe as a secondary residence, have now decided to make this wonderful place their permanent home. I am happy to be sending this painting back home to Santa Fe where it belongs.
The painting’s subject matter was carefully chosen, each item holding significant meaning to my clients, and represent the beauty of Native American artistry. I, as the artist, enjoyed painting the different textures and finishes. I especially liked the play of angular, geometric shapes in both the vessel and the weaving as well as the reflections present in the large bowl and the silver necklace.
